Post by: plot73 on November 22, 2006, 22:24:34
Does anyone have any experience of growing blue potatoes? I'm considering planting some on my plot and am not sure what variates there are and which are the best.

I grew Salad Blue (and Burgundy Red) a couple of years ago... not a great crop but the soil was poor and tired... good eating though....
Good luck

Salad Blue and Burgundy red retain their colour after boiling.... a plate of red white and blue spuds is a sight to behold!

Try Vitelotte from your local potato day http://thewhitchurchweb.org/potatoday/potatodays.htm (http://thewhitchurchweb.org/potatoday/potatodays.htm) (check with them whether they will have it) or Tuckers
