Title: Aint I lucky?
Post by: Larkshall on November 22, 2006, 21:20:16
The lady next door died 2 1/2 years ago and the house has been empty since then. I wondered whether it would be bought by a city gent or someone more in line with the area. Knowing that the city types are very fond of not being overlooked, I had visions of a 6ft high close boarded fence about 8 ft from my windows.

Well I needn't have worried, it was bought by a civil engineer. His wife lived in the next village when a child, and wanted to come back to the area. They intend to live in the house (it had redevelopement permission) and have turned the large double garage into a stable block (two loose boxes and a tack room). Even better, I can have all the horse manure for composting.

I think we shall get on well together.

Yes, and I know what it is. The neighbours next door (the other side) and next door but one, let their damned Jack Russells wander all over the place and they head for my garden.
