Title: Isn't Nature wonderful?
Post by: tim on November 17, 2006, 19:15:27
Just caught my eye tonight. In the 'olden days', we used to preserve eggs by waxing or oiling them.

With Bramleys - no need!! So they last through until May.

Beautiful image Tim.

I would be interested to know what you actually used to wax or oil the eggs with?

There was also a varnish stuff that you used to dip them into, holding them with wire tongs.
