Title: Stawberries - How sulky are they if moved?
Post by: raisedbedted on November 16, 2006, 15:09:01
Hi everyone.

Our strawberry patch is completely overrun with couch grass, it has speared through the cheap ground cover membrane and is now one solid mess.

The two options are to try and weed around the strawberry plants (2nd year plants) or to dig them all out and give the area a thorough clear.

If I do the latter will it affect next years strawberry crop?

Thanks all.....

I agree, but get them into their new bed quickly, so they can get their roots down before it gets too cold. They should be fine.
