Just got their catalogue this morning, I was looking at their potatoes, very good prices, but as anyone used them before? are they fast with delivery?
Do they have a web site?
yes, heres the link
http://www.simpsonsseeds.co.uk/
Just put my order in ... will let you know ! ;)
thanks
I can't see potatoes on the website ???
They look most interesting. By coincidence, we're staying near Frome this weekend. I might just suggest a visit to the "Walled Garden" would be a good way to start Saturday morning. ;D
Had a quick look online, good range of Pumpkins/squash so sent for a catalogue.

potatoes cant be ordered from the website, dont know the reason why, it says order them from the catalogue
COLIN, JANE & MATT ARE AN ACE FAMILY. In the same way as Real Seeds are.
Potatoes - only as fast as their suppliers who supply you.
I know I've said it before, but we've used them since they started - elsewhere - especially for back-up plants. We sow half & buy half.
Id definately reccomemend the company. Id say they give a good service, which is quite hard to come by these days. How is it our country has a couldnt care less attitude to customer service ?
Lovely company -- and passionate about the stuff they grow and sell.
And expert, too... I suspect they've forgotten more about tomatoes, chillies and spuds than most of us put together will ever know.
Never had any propblems with receipt times, Simon, either.
Great company-but I`m the last type of customer they need-I save the seed.
thanks for all the replies, its good that a company as a good reperation, I will be ordering some spuds at the weekend
They are indeed very good in my opinion
Simpsons are an excellent company - have had seeds, plants and spuds from them over the last few years - highly recommended ;D
We went to see them last weekend, on a lovely cold bright morning. The walled garden is superb, albeit a bit empty at this time of year!
They are indeed very nice people. We bought some seeds, and took a catalogue.
For those of you interested in potatoes, they have a big range of interesting spuds. Pricing is typically around £3.50 for a 3kg pack, going up to around £4.50 for some of the organic ones. Postage to mainland UK is £5.50 up to 30kg, more for Highlands, IOM, etc. They suggest ordering by the end of the year to avoid disappointment. So if those prices appeal, get on their site and order a catalogue asap!
i'd love to grow a little homer from seed.
I have just been looking at the website, I have been to Longleat so many times and didn't know they were there. We are off to Centerparcs there early next year so hopefully I can pop in then.
My family will wish I hadn't found out this information.... ;D ;D

Are they affiliated to Tuckers?
I think there is some supply connection, potatoes may be sent from tuckers on behalf of Simpsons seeds. This was the case last year with my order. Everything was good quality and arrived in reasonable time.
oh no you shouldnt have mentioned them - now ive just visited their website and spent £10 on seeds. and just before christmas as well!
Got the Cat. a couple of days ago and had a good read last night!
;D
