I grew two different types of F1 hybrid yellow courgette this year. Next year I want to grow some that I can save the seeds of. Does anyone know of any yellow courgette seeds that are not F1 hybrids please? I have checked a few seed companies and so far haven't come across any.
Not off the top of my head... most useful is gold rush on our site. It takes a lot of patience to save from cucurbits as they all cross...
::)
Hi
I tried saving courgette 'one ball' seeds and failed.
Not sure how possible it is.

hi Pauline, courgette Rugosa Fruilana might be what you're looking for

excellent - we grew it for the first time this year :)
Thank you everyone for your replies. The courgette Rugosa Friulana looks very like my yellow crooknecks! I wonder if they taste the same? Does the courgette Rugosa Friulana have an edible skin SS? :-\
Hi Pauline, there's a yellow courgette called Goldie in the organic gardening catalogue, it says it's 'very attractive bright yellow courgettes with a slightly different flavour to green varieties and crisper texture'. I'm sure you'll find it on www.organiccatalogue.com

yes! and when they're picked the size of your middle finger they are gorgeous just steamed whole :)
SS.. the trouble is, in my garden they very quickly turn from finger size to marrows. :( I might give them a try though.
Kitten... Welcome to the site. Thank you for the information on "Goldie". I might give those a try too. ;D
