Just had this message, thought I should pass it on.
Please be aware: - Postal scam.
Can you circulate this around especially as Xmas is fast approaching - it
has been confirmed by Royal Mail.
The Trading Standards Office are making people aware of the following scam:
A card is posted through your door from a company called PDS (Parcel
Delivery Service) suggesting that they were unable to deliver a parcel and
that you need to contact them on 0906 6611911 (a premium rate number). DO
NOT call this number, as this is a mail scam originating from Belize. If
you call the number and you start to hear a recorded message you will
already have been billed £15 for the phone call.
If you do receive a card with these details, then please contact
ICSTIS (the premium rate service regulator) at www.icstis.org.uk
Well done - this was mentioned some months ago - fortunately haven't been approached yet.
In case anyone has been stung....the revenue from those phone calls is frozen at present and the case is being looked at..so hopefully, you should not lose out.

Gives all the details
thanks for that, will e mail everyone I know and warn them, especially the over 80's :)
Thanks for that Emaggie. We seem to be being targeted by a different scam. Twice we have arrived home to find a message on our answerphone telling us to call a number to arrange delivery of an item - we have no idea what this is & if there was such an item they could leave details on the anserphone without us having to ring. Is there no end to the number of people who are trying to part us from our hard earned cash?
cheers emaggie, i'll spread the word.x
The phone company I am with "Telewest" bans 090 numbers and similar to your landline, unless you tell them otherwise, so thankfully we have been protected from these so called scams ??? I can also honestly say that we have not been pestered with these "Call centre" calls that so many peeps get so upset about. :)
