yum, I've just been down in the near dark to pick mizuna, mustards, mibuna etc for a spicy salad tonight - what amazing plants they are, enjoy  :)

Indeed - but the near row is looking a bit wimpy. Fingers crossed.

Can they stand any frost? I will, of course, fleece them.

the front row is a bit small but I didn't like to say  :P

I don't bother fleecing mine - what happens during a frost, even a severe one is that they freeze, in situ, but thaw out pefectly ok then seem to pick up but maybe if some of yours are a bit small it would be wise to fleece, especially over the next few nights with the frosts coming

which is your favourite - mizuna is so pretty looking, love the spicy of the mustards and amsoi (indian mustard is very nice also)

I'll be sowing some in the greenhouse soon in window boxes

Front row is a different variety - a bit floppy looking. None is ready for picking yet. Love them all - esp the Rocket in one mix.

BUT - its a lot more floppy this am . There's me talking of frost & b.....h... - a severe unforecast frost last night. I was just going to fleece the lettuces etc after giving everything a final weeding.

I'm NOT a happy chap.

But hard frosts ARE forecast here for the NEXT 3 days!!
You have been warned.

We sow a few rows in the greenhouse and poly borders against a good frost.  8)

I'll be setting off to work half an hour earlier than normal tomorrow, traffic is always sh17 when the first frosts arrive...
