Hi all,
When I pricked out my tomatoes I buried them to their first true leaves (after advice here) and they've done very well. Is it OK to do the same with chilli and courgette seedlings ... both are a little leggy so would benefit, in stability terms, from having more stem underground. But I don't want to damage them â€" any thoughts? Cheers, Paul
It's my standard technique with leggy seedlings and seems to work

I certainly do it with brassica. = Tim
That's good to hear. Was worried it was confined simply to tomatoes. Thanks for the replies, Paul
i wouldnt do that with my courgetts, i was always under the impression they liked to sit on top of a mound...... but great to hear about the tomatoes, some of mine are way to leggy and i will plant this way...thanks for the info.....sharon
