Revenge! It is usually the Pyracantha that does the cutting!  ::)
I haven't tried to propagate it , sorry, one is enough!

I took quite a few but for the life of me cannot remember when I did it. I was trimming mine down and just stuck some of the pieces down deep in a pot and fogot them. When I looked the next year they were growing. Have tried in the past and failed. If I were you  I would just keep take a few cuttings at different times of the year and see.

teresa, you ask heel or stem?

Why not do both?  The thing about gardening is that there are no hard and fast rules.

Mother-in-law used to get pyracantha to root like cress (sheathing claws now!!), so it can't be that difficult!!

The thing about gardening is that any success is a bonus!

Well think I will try cuttings like for currants, :-\
valmag the old style gardeners like me like heel cuttings as they did better than stem ones ( old habits die hard)  ;)
DolphinGarden if you want the link I have pm me I will gladly send it. 8)
If half the cuttings grow I will be happy I will just take loads of them and cross my fingers ha ha ;) got to stop the yobs some how.
Many thanks to all  :)
