Pod Radish, Cucumber (White Wonder) Achocha in the foreground. A green Pepper and Habanero Orange... not sure that last one is!
The black seeds, on the white cuc, are from one of the Achocha.

While they are small, up to thumbnail size you can eat them whole... a refreshing bit of grazing... and put into salads, up to thumb size you can cut into rings for stir fries, any bigger and you cut into slices for stews/stir fries etc., anywhere you could use sweet peppers... but once those seeds harden you have to remove them... you can usually tell by pressing them if they give then the seeds need to be taken out... usually 8 per pod... and that triffid is just 8 plants! With hindsight four would have been enough.
;D

Not really, described as a cross between Mint and Cucumber, and the taste declines as the pods get bigger but in a casserole or stir fry the sauce is the overwhelming flavour... bland would be my description of the larger pods wall.
