After a weekend of rich celebratory type food, my taste buds are crying out for some fresh, crisp salad. :P Drooling my way to garden (where I have some).

Looks similar to my accopaniment to cold ham last night Tim! ;D  Lovely, sadly the only tommies I now have left are the few ripening on my windowsill. :(
Was wondering if it is too late to sow lettuce , only have a cloche now as we no longer have a greenhouse. :'( :'(

No not too late on the winter variety. I've sown twice now and they came up fine then slugs ate them. I sowed an Italian variety brought from Seeds of Italy. Pm me your address and I'll send you some Doris

Mmmm, drooling at my screen... Think that's what I'll be having for my lunch tomorrow as I have just a couple of toms left and a wonderfully ripe avocado sitting at home... wish I was there now I'd eat the lot, even though I've already had lunch today!
