Hi All,
I've created a new shop thingy using an Amazon facility,
Shop (http://www.allotments4all.co.uk/joomla/component/option,com_wrapper/Itemid,88888889/)
Amazon pay 'cashback' to the site for anything bought via the link, at no cost to you!
Have a look, and remember me when you shop from amazon.
Cheers
Dan
Hi Dan,
Does this apply to those goods shown in the A4A shop or can we link all purchases from amazon to this site?

Hi Mike,
It only applies to goods bought via the on site store, however it is pretty much the full amazon shop, so you should be able to find anything on it!
If not let me know.
Cheers
Dan
Dan, where is the addy or am i being thick?.
In big red letters in my post above,
Or on the front page
http://www.allotments4all.co.uk/
menu on the left and at the top!
In a short while it will also be a button at the top of the forum, probably between wiki and calendar!
Cheers
Dan
whats the casa tab for?
Hi Dan,
Used the option to go to amazon directly so as to access my wish list (noticed it had an A4A tag in the address line, so should relate back to this site), but it crashed each time I tried with the usual microsoft error.
A holiday house in Spain!
A little self indulgent I know, but if anyone is looking for a lovely holiday in 'real Spain', then have a look.
One thing that always gets me when I visit is the size of produce they can grow on their fincas (spanish allotments). The villagers pass our front door on the track to the fields, often with Mules or Donkeys in tow!
Cheers
Dan

Hmmm, works ok for me.
Let me get this right, you are clicking on the 'Go To Amazon' link on the right of the shop? And it crashes before taking you to amazon?

Correct
Just tried again, no problems.
I'll get my coat
I've made a little change, could you try again.
If it does not work, could you give me the url in your address bar before and after you click.
Cheers
Dan

Ok...I did it! Ordered something via Amazon via here, but I must warn you Dan...
I am a cheapskate! Got the book for a very tiny amount of money!
;)
Every little counts ....
Dan
Ooo, this is excellent news. I am a regular user of Amazon! I buy most of my books and cds from there so I might be able to keep this site going single handedly, hehehe ;) ;D
PS is my avatar appearing so huge to everybody else or just me? ???
Edit: Oh, hang on .... being the dunce that I am, I'm a little confused. When I click on the books subcategory, it comes up with a sort of A4A bookstore - do I have to pick a book from the x amount of pages of books under that heading, or can I buy any book on Amazon for it to work as long as I've followed the link from here?
To cut a long story short, I'm after a particular book about the Vietnam War - will it count?
splendid idea dan. will get my wish list going and at last the rellies can buy something i actually want for christmas.
good thinking batman.
;D

From the shop you can either search for a book, in the top left of the screen, or click on the go to amazon link just under the search area.
Let me know if that does not make sense.
Dan
so if we hit the amazon link that takes us to their blue coloured area and leaving the A4A brownish screen, we're still earning A4A money yeah ?
yeah!
Excellent ;D Smack bang in time for Christmas too!
Any chance you could make this thread sticky please, Dan? :)
Oops, hehe, no need. I see it as one of the forum headers :-[
Just an update, since launching the shop ...

Dan
Am I right in understanding that it doeasn't count all items - I did a book order but couldn't add in a PC bit. I did that after I got into the chechout bit - hopped out, added the item, back in again. Hope you still got the books worth - ordered yesterday if that helps check.
Cheers
It should keep track on a visit basis, but it is very hard to check.
If you PM the details I might be able to see.
Cheers
Dan
I just did some xmas shopping there, so hopefully i've contributed a little bit, until i'm able to subscribe to this ace site! kitten x
Hi Dan
I've just tried to buy a couple of books through the A4A amazon link but I keep getting this message:
"Cart Error
This item could not be added to your cart. Please visit Amazon for more purchasing options.
Your shopping cart is empty."
I've bought a couple of books through the A4A link before and it worked fine. Is it likely to be a glitch because they're busy or something more technical?
