Hi all,
I was wondering if anyone here has seen or heard of this dvd,or seen the series on tv ?
If so,is the dvd worth buying? I`ve found a source to purchase it brand new for £24-.
Regards,
Mark.
I've read the book, and found it well worthwhile. Of course, you always get more detail in the book; I don't know what the series was like.
the series was lovely and the title says it all - it takes you through a month by month journey and the title says it all
I would think the books can still be found, check out your local library and this will give you a clue as to whether it is something you would like
Buy the CD? Absolutely! So many good things about it I wouldn't know where to start ::)
Found the book in Oxfam for £1.99 :)
KMARK...hang on, do not do anything yet!
Play.com: £13.99 delivered!
It's great, I watch it whilst doing the ironing. Loved the series and have the book as well.
;)

It was top quality TV
Have the book, may get OH to add it to my Xmas list....

I watch each episode, loved it and got the vidio ( no dvd player then) here are some worth watching?

It`s wonderful :) Harry Dodson was as kind and gentle, not to mention very wise,in reality as he came over in the series.
I was talking about it to SS the other day-the slightly sad thing as that the BBC arranged for so much renovation that when the series ended Harry was left with a sort of White Elephant-he was getting on a bit and there was so much to look after.
To Katynewbie,All,
Thankyou very much Katy, you just saved me £20,as i have created an account with PLAY.com,and placed my order for "The Victorian Kitchen Garden"
If others haven`t visited this site recommended by Katy,i would 2nd Katy,- take a look,it`s excellent.
Thanks again,
Regards,
Mark.
;D ;D
Great news Mark! My favourite bit (I think I might have mentioned it here before somewhere, sorry) is when Harry describes his work with the peach trees. He said "...when the leaves are the size of a mouses ear..." the assumption being that everyone knows what size that is! Priceless!
Enjoy!
;)
I have the book and the DVD. Harry is a legend! I love the way he talks really slowly.
Does anyone know what happened to the garden? Is it still there? Is it open to the public.
I'd pay money to see it.

I do, usually when they are in the trap...
