Title: bendy carrots to straight ones!!!
Post by: danny_lewis on April 12, 2004, 18:27:52
isn't it a pain at the picking season for carrots when you come across carrots and they are all twisted, a way to stop that is to place toilet roll holders (the cardboard stuff) in the ground and sow 1 carrot seed in it, then what you will find is the carrots will grow straight down! good thinking eh, ;D

Another way would be to dig a deeper trough and back-fill with grow bag or riddled top soil. Bit of a chore but at least you get straight carrots and what you put in the ground does the ground good later on.
