Title: growing a pumpkin

hi, how do you grow a successful atlantic giant pumpkin. ??? last year i had a fab one but this year it's rubbish. my mum has tried to resusitate it but it just won't grow properly.  :'(

any tips would be great

I haven't tried to grow a giant, but my normal-size squashes haven't done well this year due to the drought. I'd have thought loads of water and feed. I'd use regular doses of wood ash and pee.
