Today, all my onions went in and all the old raspberry canes came out. All courtesy of number one son and number two daughter (19 & 15) who came home in varying states of disrepair last night. The punishment for their excesses (as well as grounding for the younger) was an afternoon of hard (or slave as they called it) labour. (Can't ground the big one as will be back at uni next week...).
Can recommend this to parents of other errant teenagers as a marvelous way of harnessing all that youthful energy at the same time as giving them a good blast of fresh air to repair some of the damage to themselves...
Made number 1 son read this...18 and came home 6.40 am last week >:( :-\ ???
Funniest thing was, number one daughter (who didn't do it) came too, just to watch them. She got herself a garden chair and sat between the onion bed and the raspberry canes, laughing at them...
Great idea!
I have the husband doing simular 'slave' work for the golf clubs i got him
;D
I'll bear it in mind, No 1 son only 16 and not causing such grief yet...
;D
You can't beat the old chain gang system.
Sounds familiar! the first time son no 2 got legless and woke up with a roaring hangover, he came dowstairs looking very sheepish and asked if I needed any help with the housework! Very cruel mummy said< you could do the hoovering> at the time we had
a three storey house. He has never touched spirits since!!!!!!!!!!!!
Actually, we were so worried about him when he came home, that Barrie slept in his room with him in case he was sick and choked. He and his mates had been drinking shots what everthey may be. It was a good way to learn a lesson.
