Post by: skipster2k2 on September 29, 2006, 12:00:02
Hello

Just coming towards the end of my first year of having an allotment and its been about 50/50 success. I am starting to think of what to grow next year and wanted to know where are the best (ie cheap but good :)) places to buy stuff. Any reccomedations. I live in Plymouth if anyone can offer places locally. Cheers!

I got some seeds from Lidl and i was really impressed with them for pennies... you will have to wait now until spring but for 30p packet full price they are worth it - esp the courgette, patty pans etc. oh and beans too!

I bought 20packs of seeds from Wyvale the other day, 25p per pack. They should have a bin near the exit with them in. Both flowers and veg seeds available. They are mostly coming up to date but should be fine  ;D
