Title: Blackmoor Apple Tasting Day
Post by: Jon Munday on September 28, 2006, 20:21:03
For any of you out there that can spare a Sunday away from the allotment, we are holding our 36 annual open day. Full information on our news page (link at bottom will take you to it). A chance to visit the Blackmoor Estate in Hampshire and sample many fruits available on the day.

Thanks for the reminder.  I've had a good look on your website, because we want to buy some apple trees to plant this autumn/winter, and I saw the Apple Day advertised then.

We'll be there!

I am off to the Ken Muir one with some gift vouchers - very dangerous :-)

Hoping to pick up a nasi pear and an early apple something like a norfolk Red :-)

What a great day!  Thanks to all who helped to organise this, and I hope they raised plenty of cash for their various charities.

We were given some very helpful advice about apple trees, and we'll be choosing three trees from our shortlist and ordering them soon.

And maybe a few blackcurrant bushes ....

But to give an idea of what Blackmoor had organised, here's a picture of the Morris Dancers.

It was a great day as always and the sun shone on Blackmoor again.
Thanks to all who turned out
