Title: Overwintering shallots
Post by: jonny211 on September 28, 2006, 09:38:41
Okay, I've got intchy fingers because I haven't planted anything in a while and the plot is feeling wintery already. I've seen that there are shallots that can be planted now/soon and that can be overwintered but none of the seed sites seem to be shipping any sets this side of Christmas.

Does anyone know where I can get some from? The variety I've been looking for is Mikor as it appears to have a good shape and colour.

Cheers!

Jon

Hi Grant, I've kind of stumbled across Griselle in another post - have a look at dobies as they seem to stock some.

I'm going to pick mine up from our local garden centre in Hertfordshire called Top Pots (01920 465 026) they may be able to post you some. I've just called to confirm that he has them in stock - and they do.
