What a day, set off for the allotment at 9.30 and spotted this Muntjac deer grazing as I turned into the road the allotments are on. (http://www.hpphoto.com/servlet/LinkPhoto?GUID=3d394abe-4ad7-5701-5395-124d857e2ef4&size=)
Then I lifted the pile of carpet on my new patch just to see what might still be lurking, and snakey/slow worm was there fast asleep, so I didn't poke him around. (http://www.hpphoto.com/servlet/LinkPhoto?GUID=554b49ac-3def-4791-7d15-154048fb7b06&size=)
And at around lunch time I was digging away, and look who wandered in to say hello, and to see if I had any leather gloves he could steal!
