Yipee, was told half hour ago I am going to be a Great Grandmother!!!! Eldest granddaughter who is 21.

What wonderful news - you lucky fish ;D you must be thrilled.

My middle sister is a granny three times already :-\ and me (the eldest) sister is still waiting... and waiting... and my 26 years old sun just grins... I will have to wait for the youngest one :'( :'( (16) to produce some offspring for me to bounce on my knee.

Thanks folk. Prink re our sad news of recent. This morning I received a letter from my sister thanking us for making the journey last week. Betty also enclosed a photo of Patsy taken last November when she was on a cruise, so happy. Proves the saying.... You never know what is round the corner.
Now I have something exciting to look forward to.

Thanks again to every one. Just spent few days in Kent visiting one of my sisters. Also spent a few hours with sister who lost her daughter. She seems to be coping pretty well, as she said she does her crying when she is on her own in bed..Some one said to me "Doesn't it make you feel old now you are going to be a Great Grandmother?" ..No cos I AM old, just can't wait for the new arrival!!!

Glad you had a good visit with your sisters Lorna. I am sure you were a great comfort to your poor bereaved one. It must be so hard to lose one of your children.

And you will never be old, Lorna, you have too much enthusiasm and spirit to settle into old age. :D busy_lizzie

busy lizzie. saw first scan of Great Grandchild last night. Gemma is now 15 weeks in to the pregnancy so past the "danger" area.. ;D
