ive grown these pepper plants from seed and theyre about 4 months old , though i thought theyd be further along . has anyone any advice on getting the best out of these plants so i can have good crops from them? , and how long can i expect the plants to last ? thanks .
Keep them indoors, and try to get them through the winter. They're like my miserable specimens; no good this year, but if they survive they'll be well ahead next. I know how to grow them now anyway.
They look like bird peppers (Very hot) to me, that need a very long season to crop in this country.. but they are perennial if you can keep them over winter.

I've got some pathetice peppers too. At the moment they are outside. If I did they up and try to treat well will they be ok next year too? Are all types perennial?
I'm not sure what size your tiles are but the pots look a bit small. Unless the chillies are a dwarf variety they like bigger pots.

Mine are in that size pot, simply because it took so long for them to start growing that it wasn't worth planting them out. I'll be trying to overwinter them as well; if it doesn't work, at least I know how to grow them for next year!
with the exception of my cayennes and numex twilight which took off a grew like topsy, my other peppers have struggled along and just started to fruit now. Just looked through the diary there, and it appears i didn't sow them until the end of May, whereas i sowed the the chillies almost a month earlier.
There's a morale to that story somewhere !
