thanks guys. and i love the support you've put on yout sunflowers saddad. it's strong but doesn't seem to over take the over all look of the plants. nice :)
The fence was there first but is useful to tie to for the first 6'.... then support becomes problematic... the post in the middle was my all time record of 14'8" a couple of summers ago... disaterously my OH grew some cutting sunflower on the same plot and they interbred.... we now have seven foot sunflowers with huge heads and loads of side shoots... they have flowered for three months solid!
