Yours disgusted

I've had one too.  I'm gullible, I must be to have taken on an allotment mostly covered in 8 foot brambles, but really............

Can I suggest that somebody reply to Frank stating that we are a desperate group of allotment holders working on impoverished soil in urgent need 5000 tonnes of manure.

If he can arrange a full shipment of highest quality bulls**t to be delivered to Felixstowe we might be able to grow enough vegetables to sell at our local markets in order to raise the funds he needs to release his dead relative's fortune.

Obviously we won't be able to pay for the shipment until the vegetables have grown, and knowing that the hurricane season is about to hit the UK we might not be able to raise the funds for some time.

Oh god Cotswoldlass, I'm well aware of these sort of scams lol Seen many variations on them. Just wondering  if there's any point in a)reporting the mail addy to yahoo and b) scamming the little bugger back LOL

it cant hurt the address is usualy abuse@<domain>

Its possible that they have not compromised the site it could be that they just fished the details out from unsecure posts.

The other spam scam is that you get an email from a ligitamate address like from Dan but its got a label that looks real and is actualy going elsewhere :-)

Or you get an email from a ligitamate address and you email them or it bounces to the real address and this is used to crash mail servers and is usualy a mini dos attack.

You can try the abuse@  route, what I mean is these wretched things cause so much upset, it is better to try and ignore them. Enough said! Cheers guys

Can I just ask ??? are these sent to Hotmail accounts ??? Reason I ask is I have been inundated with this crap in the early days to my Hotmail account and adjusted it accordingly to stop the rot (so to speak). ::) and have not been hassled since. 8)

I have never had anything similar on other email accounts ;D Have I been lucky ???

I reported mine as spam toYahoo.  Best not to reply direct to the sender, as they then know that its a reall e-mail address .... which could lead to more intense spamming ...

Roy, yes, I think you have been lucky. I've not had them on my current email as they are filtered pretty efficiently but on the previous one they did slip through the net.

Also got the same mail today.  Never happened before, and can't believe that anyone would be so daft as to get in touch with him when this sort of  scam is so well documented - hope they don't anyway! Good idea about the manure though Matt - inspired!  :D busy_lizzie
