I thought that looked like a good solid west yorks property!
Aren't they excellent at this time of year when so much looks so washed out!

Yes it is West Yorkshire. I emigrated here 20 years ago from Lancashire and never went back. My home is Yorkshire through and through, with cellars, space and character. I love it. :) :)
Gorgeous.
Fantastic - ours are mostly finished :(
Beautiful flowers. My surviving plant was very spindly with hardly any foliage and only a few flowers. The slugs ate the others. :(
And they are still coming. The are so high up the arch now I cannot twine them in so they are getting higher and higher. The other place I planted two or three are under standard bays which are about 5' high and the 'head' is about 3' across. They have twirled up the trunk and now the flowers are peeping out of the foliage. I have had to 'stop' them though before they got out of hand and suffocated the bays. The colours are lovely.
Magic ;D I grew Heavenly Blue this year, quite electric !! ::) ;D
The size of the leaves is very impressive ;D
Where did you emigrate from LDaisy? I am in exile from Rossendale, here in Derby... but would never have got MG to grow 800' up in the Pennines. Mine were going to be gorgeous on Sunday then we had a torrential downpour which bashed all the flowers that were open... business as normal today though!

At the moment I live about 2 miles from the highest point in West Yorkshire (so I am lead to believe) at a place called Milnsbridge. I come from Springhead in Saddleworth. which is just at the other side of the Pennines. Hope that makes sense
Yep... know Saddleworth... it must be global warming then.... the last year I was at home all the time (79) we had snow everyday for the first week of May, I remember 'cos I was going in to do my A levels...
::)
