Title: Anyone ever heard of the national center for home food preservation??
Post by: cambourne7 on September 19, 2006, 13:24:35
Hi

In the last week i have been offered fruit from plum and apple trees and now someone has brought a big box of plums into work that are very ripe and quite small and sweet and crying out for someone to eat them.

Decided to read though the posts to see what i could do with the plum and did a bit of googling and found this site

http://www.uga.edu/nchfp/

"The National Center for Home Food Preservation is your source for current research-based recommendations for most methods of home food preservation. The Center was established with funding from the Cooperative State Research, Education and Extension Service, U.S. Department of Agriculture (CSREES-USDA) to address food safety concerns for those who practice and teach home food preservation and processing methods."

I was wondering if anyone had A) heard of them or B) tried any recipies?
