Title: Is it chilli in here?
Post by: Mrs Ava on September 18, 2006, 23:10:16
No, it is sweet and warm!  This is a Jimmy Nardello sweet long pepper.  (The hens egg is to give you a guide to the size).  Very long, reasonably fleshy.  Had him roasted with garlic, courgette and tomatos.  He was very tasty!

That is a long pepper E-J, did it reach the ground or are they all folded up near the top...?

I think he's having a slight convulsion. Must be the heat?

They grow all contorted like that - a long way off the ground.  Lovely and sweet - on the list again for next year as I seem to have had better success with this shaped sweet pepper than bell peppers.

Sorry - missed the 'sweet' bit.

Like Aubs - the thin ones seem to be more reliable?
