Hi all, I am just blowing my own trumpet for a few toots!
I have had a lot of good comments and feedback about my jam and chutney labels, and was wondering if it was a good idea to offer my labels for sale on A4A
After doing a little calculation with OH we reckon that I would have to charge £1.00 for a sheet of 10 labels. Does this sound like something that people might be interested in?
The labels will be individual to each person, and designed and printed by myself. I reckon on 40p for postage of up to 3 sheets and £1.00 for any number over 4 sheets.
Please let me know if you think that this is worth doing or not ???
Kathi ;D
'course it is, Prink. If you don't then you won't! Anything is a worth trying and especially something you created yourself. Well done. I don't make jam and things but there's lots of people who do. Maybe if you could let people have a look at what you have? Put a pic or two on and show especially the personalised part.
Bear (or is it bare) in mind a donation to A4A which you or the buyer should contribute. Go for it.
PS. Self adhesive? Size? Colour? Detail? Shape?
Like kenkew says, you can always find out if there's a market by offering! ;D
Perhaps a .pdf at a one-off charge so peeps could print their own? :P
Or a template? Plenty to think about prinkie :-*
Mmmmmmm - need to think more about this, thanks SS and KK for the ideas, will have a think over the weekend, and put ideas to screen on Monday

the prob with printing your own is that us with inkjet printers will find the print runs/smudges with greasy and sticky jammy fingers.
I know from work that laser printers cost 40p a sheet to print and inkjets nearer the £1 mark.
Not sure what special paper you could use though as normal paper wouldnt hold up ... maybe a good vellum and a good gum type glue...
thinking a loud here btw... its a great idea!
