ooh Tim
That looks good. You are lucky I did not have that much luck with mine this year. I was hoping to make some runner bean chutney.
Kind regards
Jitterbug
I am so pleased that my climbing french beans are finally coming to an end. My freezers are crammed full with fruit and veg and my shelves are groaning under the weight of jars of jams, jellies, pickles, chutneys, ketchup and sauces.
So I'm with you Tim - Oh, no!! Please - no more??
Tricia :)
well, if there's any freebies to save you composting, i'm willing to pay postage, and you'll get a free report back on the taste and texture ;D
My runners are just starting again, so the break has been just perfect! My Pongo French are cropping, but I only had a few seed left in the pack, so only have a few plants. However, just planted another entire row to see if I can get a late crop. They look lovely Tim. I love French beans!
Yes - after complete early failure, our Runners are going mad!
I keep leaving goodie bags on neighbour's doorsteps! Have had bottle of wine and half bottle of brandy in return left on my doorstep! Not sure if that's cause they want me to stop or that they want more! Another neighbour made chutneys etc and gave us some. Not bad eh> ;)
ooo colleen, sounds like a good deal to me!
The Runners ? Like this. Bent & late but very welcome!
But also the Hunter beans - on the left - too little grown, but SO good.
