How do people store their apples, i remember my mum used to wrap them up in glossy magazine paper

Don't know the merits of the glossies - we used to use newspaper. But if you wrap - to stop the contact spread of rot - you have to keep checking them.

Depends a lot on where. We have a cellar & don't wrap. They are on wire racks, supported upon upturned plastic flower pots - anti-mice!!

OH bought me one of those wooden apple stores ten shelves... great but very expensive for what it is... at the moment it is housing about 20 Veg Spag... with half the shelves out!
