You've had my rain >:( ;)! Not a drop here but horribly hot and humid.
It's been throwing it down on and off in Birmingham since about 5am. We'd had about an inch when I checked earlier, and there's been a fair bit more since then.
Driving up the M6 this morning I felt like a salmon swimming upstream there was soo much water coming at me.
I had a frog sitting on the yard step this morning looking at where the spud tubs were until a few days ago and in the end having to settle for underneath the wheelie bin for shelter. even he must have been thinking about putting on wellies.
17mm here overnight, with an impressive storm at midnight. Husband slept straight through it...
Sadly, a friend who is in dire financial straits in Portsmouth (anyone want an IT/Office trainer, experience at college of FE?) has been flooded again, (??fortunately??) just weeks before his insurance runs out, and he can't afford to eat out until they get round to fixing the damage. *sigh*

All we need is some snow and we really will have had the four seasons in one day! ;D
been bucketing down here all afternoon - drains outside work blocked and road flooded
Cor did we have a mumma of all storms last night. It was around 8pm and it started to pelt down with rain....then a few flashes of lightning. By 9pm the sky was almost constantly alight with fork lightning and the thunder hardly let up for air! We had a power cut - good job I had already sorted out torches for us all. The storm lasted for a good 2 hours, eventually rolling off into the distance. I can't think of ever being in the midst of such a loud, bright, animated storm! Amazing!
The storm reached Bedfordshire around midnight, not a drop since though
