Just wanted to say thank you for your clear instructions on bottling. Yesterday a lottie friend gave me a carrier bag of freshly picked blackberries, all huge and firm, and I decided as I had a nice kilner and fresh rubber, to bottle them. They look amazing, and I will be saving them for a special occassion as I think they will be devine poured over good vanilla ice cream - maybe over Christmas time as I have my Nan and Grandad from Devon up to stay.
The same lottie chum has a yellow plum tree in his garden, and he has invited me to fill up a bag with them...so I sense I will be on the look out for more kilners! ;D
Thanks SS!
