Title: Asparagus Tips
Post by: LILACSPLASH on September 11, 2006, 22:53:15
I'd bought a pot of asparagus last spring when it was very wet, I kept it in the cold frame until there was a chance of planting out, by which time the only stick had died. still being ever hopefull I planted it and the crown looked fine. it hasn't done anything all summer and hasn't had a fern...is it dead or should I wait some more?

If you only have the one you need to get some more anyway, one plant will give you no more than a taster, never enough for a meal

I've got some seed to try this year as buying it in the pot was a bit too expensive. just really need to know whether to plant there next spring or leave alone ???
