BEAUTIFUL pix, Wizz. I'd not seen one so close-up before. Not realized that there's a 'lip' round their shells. And the sheen on them - like they're highly lacquered. 8) Whew!

in the 2nd image you can see it's been in the wars it's a wee bit bashed  :'(

Great pics as always GW.  I spotted loads of ladybirds on my Brussel sprouts tonight, they had laods to eat as well.
