Title: rasberries how to devide them

Hi all new here

i have just taken on a plot that is covered with raspberries i want to divide them and replant them in lines
ii was just wondering if i could do that this time of year and are there any does and don'ts

Do it in the autumn; October would be ideal. I hope they fruit well; when I did that on a new plot they turned out to be riddled with virus and a total waste of space.

hi Robert how would i check to see if they are full of virus they look good at the mo nice and green and there has been some fruit there left unpicked

If the fruit's OK, they haven't got virus. When they get it the fruit almost disappears; mine had a very few really tiny ones, and they spread rampantly.

thanks Lorna, I am sure i will enjoy the site found it very informative already!
searched through previous posts and found the answers to lot of my questions.

i will post some pics of the plot as it progresses still at the planning stage at the mo i have however  given the fork a good workout and started on the compost's.

shame its so wet today was looking forward to getting a bit more done, still i gives me chance to do a bit of reading
