Title: Tomato cutting
Post by: Biscombe on August 31, 2006, 08:53:48
Hi all!, Just wondering about tomato cuttings! The last surviving tomatoes I have are Chadwick Cherry, they have side shoots, but the whole plant is looking a little wirey! If I nurtured a side shoot cutting for my greenhouse would it be just as good as If I Sowed It from seed???

Yes, but I suspect it's a bit late in the season now.

Thanks Robert :), I'm going to risk it, IT's still hot here in Spain although winters are very cold but I'm dying to try out my new greenhouse!!!! a tad too risky?? ???

I do it.  So long as you can keep things cosy.  The lack of light is the real problem. ;D

I've grown some more tomato plants for my conservatory to see if I can have tomatoes for longer. They are three leaves up at the moment.
