I have a very useful passage (see top right of photo) that runs down the side of the house. This is where we keep compost bins, water butts and other bits and pieces. But, it's a bit of an eyesore and I want a gate, a screen or perhaps an archway with a gate but I'm not sure what. There's the house wall on one side and fence on the other - but the end of the passage is not opposite a fence post so I'd have to add something. Suggestions most welcome.

Firstly, what a lovely looking garden!
As to a "gate", my suggestion would be to fix an offcut of trellis to the brick wall on the left of your passageway, and grow something mad and frothy up it, perhaps a honeysuckle. It wouldn't disguise the passage completely, but it would probably distract the eye and stick bits out to lessen the entrance's impact?

Thanks for the complement and definately worth considering. It would be a very quick solution and I would still be able to wheel a barrow up and down.
