Title: Hanging Basket Kits £1.00

Hi all ,

Just been round B&Q and they are selling off there hanging basket sets which even contains the compost and the brackets for £1.00 . Couldent beleive it we just brought 5   ;D.

Just thought i'd let you all know.

Why on the subject can you grow strawberries in hanging baskets?

i've heard of strawberries in old gutters so baskets should work, i grew loads of bush tomatoes in some from the £ shop this year.

Yes, I grew 6 plants in two baskets this year. In fact, two plants are still producing the odd fruit now and then! I shall leave them in the baskets over winter, then feed them and start them off in the greenhouse early next Spring. Leave the runners that appear to hang over the sides - you may get fruit from them too, if you are lucky.

Hey Baggieboy, thank you for the tip about B&Q we went today and i got 2 wrought iron baskets large ones and 6 packs of Guardman moss for £4-50!!!! how about that for a bargain.  Cheers.
