Title: Sun dance please
Post by: SMP1704 on August 29, 2006, 19:42:04
or would settle for a dry afternoon tomorrow.

No2 son is 9 tomorrow and as per his request, he is having a birthday party at the local adventure playground.  The original plan was for a picnic but as the ground is so wet, I have scaled that back to drinks, crisps and choc bars.

If it does rain, the kids will be OK as there is an indoor area, but the grown-ups aren't allowed in, so its me that will be sitting outside in the rain, trying to keep the birthday cake dry ::)

So get those dancing shoes on ;D ;D

The ladies of a village in India went out naked to plough the fields in order to make it rain (it did), so what chance has a mere pair of dancing shoes against that?

I shall be jigging my wellies off as a group of us are taking the urchins to the local farm for the day!  Sheep bothering and pig cuddling are on the menu, but I fear getting caked in cow poop is more likely!  Hope the party goes well.  Daft isn't it - an August birthday party should have guaranteed sunshine!

Well whatever you were all doing (dancewise) seems to have done the trick.  The Sun came out and stayed out for the two hours that we were at the park and the wind died down for the lighting of the candles.

EJ hope the farm trip was a success. ;)
