Post by: Chris Graham on August 28, 2006, 20:59:23

Added the final section to the plot, it now has a nice path.

This shall be the last addition.

I think i'll use the new part for growing carrots.

You really don't need that bit the other side of the greenhouse, now do you Chris? You could put it to much better use than grass, couldn't you ?

Grass - such high maintenance, can't think why people grow it  ;D

It makes excellent green manure when it's dug in deep.

How about just clearing the grass as far as the washing line, it would be a pain to get the mower round that bit anyway, you could use the post to growbeans up.....

Sorry to tell you this, but according to the Land Use Laws (subsection 4b part iii) laid down by the war commision in 1940, it is a legal dictat that once a garden has started to be dug over for vegetables at least 9/10th's - but no greater than 100%, unless it is a communal garden - of the entire lawn area must be turned over to the vegetable plot in perpetuity.  You will also need to ensure that the plot is protected on your deeds to ensure future owners of your home follow this rule.

3/10ths - or half an acre, whichever is the greater in relation to yer laaand - must be given over to small livestock. Dexter cows are included in this category.

1/10 must be a vegetable that your children or someone in your family loathes but you adore.

10/10 of the plot will be accessible to cats at certain times of the year (It doesn't say when so you can abuse this clause... sorry... by chosing frost-bitten winter for lavatorial access).

Sheds can be built from available materials but must conform to current planning laws in relation to size. Observatories are encouraged for additional credits to one's national duty...

Go on, you know you want to.....  hur hur hur ;D
