Title: Onion mesh "tubes" where to find

I've noticed that some of the supermarkets are selling 3 or 4 onions in an onion mesh "tube". These would be great for storing a whole range of lottie veg for over-wintering. I assume they are on a long roll and cut to size. Any ideas where this can be bought or begged??? ???
Else it's raiding the wife's stocking drawer for cast offs.. ;D

stockings work just as well.

Just get yourself a packet of Value Ones from a local supermarket.  Cut the legs off.  After each onion tie a knot in the stocking, should accomadate quite a few. We hang them around the door frame on a few hooks.  Found this way was easier to check for ones that go off easier than rummaging around in a bag.
