Hi all
It's moi ;D
Getting bit nervous bout tomorrow, well today now, so am up trawling around the web to keep me occupied and i stumbled across you lot. So hi.
Just as a little thing out my life, i've done very little over the last few weeks, now have a little sister, Aimee. Allotment is coming towards the end of the season i suppose. Have had loads of Tom's and broad beans and earlies amongst other. Now just waiting for the onions and everything else to get a bit bigger. Began to dry some onions today. But sitll some in the ground. Probably been my best crop this year. Nothing spectacular, but soil is a lot better and things have actually began to grow in it. Dry weather didnt help too much though. Stopped the onions but they are large enough anyway.
So how is everyone else? Any important news?
Well i will pop in tomorrow, let you know i have done, only a few hours now.... :o
Morning Adam. I've had daughter pacing the floor having been desperate to know the worst, she's now facing the reality of knowing. "Whatever will be will be". Good luck.
Adam, good to hear from you, I was wondering how you are doing.
Don't get nervous, I know that is easier said than done, and it would feel really bad to not get the grades you want, but another year retaking them is not the end of the world.
You can't change the results by worrying, they are already there at school, so it is not worth it. Be proud of what you did and look ahead.
I know so many people who did GCSEs with my daughter who have re-done them and done so much better, or done badly at their AS levels and re-done that year. Another year spent doing them now makes such a difference in the future. Wait and see tomorrow, you probably have done well!
And let us know what you get - we shall all be in suspense now!! ;)
Good Luck

im back to sixth form to do A levels next year, studying Geog, Business Studies, Physics and maths.
after that the plan is to become a pilot (as you can see by my siganture picture) and if i cant become a pilot want to become part of NATS and an ATC, air traffic controller.
:o
Go Adam go! Attaguy 8)
Congratulations, enjoy the 6th form, good luck... ;D
Good lad Adam - the skies certainly are the limit for you.
Good luck!
have you thought of joining the air cadets ? I don't know much about it (age limits etc), but my friends son, who is 14, is in the cadets and gets to do loads of flying and fantastic other stuff (they went in a helicopter the other week) and has just returned from a 2 week 'survival' holiday in the wilds of America
Adam, Mc55's idea is excellent if you are not already joined up. (My OH used to be in charge of same for the army and friend's son is in naval version). Good luck! CL
Congratulations Adam on both counts. Are you getting much sleep with your the new arrival. When was she born?
If it's anything like the CCF when I was at school (probably not) you'd be boobytrapping the door of whatever premises you use to keep adults out while you got revoltingly drunk, causing mysterious explosions in the shrubbery, and making NCO's go ballistic at regular intervals. The best story was the one about the trip to an army camp in Germany. The sergeant lined them up and asked for their names.
'Cock, Sir.
'Crutch, Sir.'
'Stiff, Sir.'
At this point he hit the roof. It took a teacher armed with the official list of names to convince him that they were real.
From what I've heard Robert, still goes on! (tri-service) CLx
