Title: Killing Horsetail
Post by: SMP1704 on August 22, 2006, 22:15:07
I may be getting ahead of myself here.......but..........I think it's dying ;D ;D ;D

Following comments on the board about using Deep Root weedkiller, I decided to give it a whirl.  I applied 7 litres on Saturday and by yesterday it was looking decidely sickly and today even worse - yippee

There are two drawbacks:

cost £4.99 per pack and 8 measures per litre = the whole pack per watering can, that covered about 2 sq m

Can't use the area for 12 weeks - not a problem this year as I have decided there will be no overwintering while I wage war on the evil Horsetail

This could be the answer for peeps who don't mind a bit of chemical warfare :-[
