he'd just flown into my lounge window. presumably the sparra he must have been chasing, took a swift left upward bank leaving Mr Hawk too late to pull out of a dive.
serves him right !
At least he survived. There's an exhibit I remember from the University Museum in Oxford; a sparrowhawk crashed through the window and was dead on the floor, while the blackbird it had just grabbed was dead outside. The birds were stuffed and mounted as found.
I was kinda glad i had the opportunity to take the pic tbh ! I keep meaning to get some of those transfer thingies to put on the windows, but i'm getting french doors soon, so hopefully won't have the same problem.
he didn't half give it a thump !

So your windows will morph into cloches/cold frames then, to add to your collection, I suppose? ::)
the grand master plan was a conservatory but unless OH puts his poker face on, or weedbusdta's Harry pays me a visit, it's just gonna be easier access to the plot !
;D
nice shot :)
