Hello, just repeating my post from another thread in the hope of drumming up more business. We are having our Annual Show and open day at the New Victoria Gardens in Pollokshields, Glasgow on Saturday 26th August 2-5pm. I hear the train fares from down south are pretty reasonable. There's beer, you know!
yeeha, sun and beer, ......don't like beer....... but i'll sneak a 1/4 bottle in my handbag. ::) i take it you'll be the one in the beer tent. sounds like fun. who else is up for it?
1/2 bottle more like ::) ;D
decanted from a litre bottle into an irn bru bottle, i'm on a budget.
pure class ;) ;D
i think i may just pop along and help you out there weedbusta !
if you're "drumming up business" greenstar, does this mean you have vacancies ?????
:P :P :P :P :P :P :P
Unfortunately not, Mrs KP, unless you're prepared to wait 5 or 6 years! We're trying to raise funds to get the hall fixed, make a wildlife garden, fix the loos and generally to keep us all in the manner in which we'd like to become accustomed ;)
:'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'(
my heart skipped a beat there !
"my" secretary (for the site i'm on the waiting list for - South Western in Pollok Park) reckons next year for me, but i can't see it being for another after that.
the side border is coming up next year, and the front lawn the year after that if i don't get one ! lol
will definitely try to pop along, will pm you for directions etc.
just to say i had a lovely time round your gaff greenstar and nice to meet you.
i thoroughly enjoyed wandering around some very nicely laid out lotties while enjoying a jolly civilised glass of pimms.
the parking's a bit of a mare though isn't it ?
i hope you managed to raise a few quid for your causes.
;D
Sorry Mrs KP - I've only just seen this. I'm not really igoring you! It was lovely to meet you too - nice putting a face to the name. We raised a pretty penny, definetly - over £1500. I think most of that came from the beer and Pimms - what does that say about us?
Sorry we didn't get to chat more - too many people wanting tea, and I think I was trying to bandage my bleeding finger at the time, pardon my French. ;)
Well the Pimms was top notch !
Didn't know there were that many English lurking in Glasgow either !!
;D
