Am new proud owner of allotment too, can't wait to see some pictures, mine is there on the left,a jungle with 5ft high grass and a big bramble patch covering the top half, can't wait to get started, hope yours is slightly easier than mine to clear!Becky.
i go down for a couple off hours and i am there 6 its grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrreat
Thank you for the words of encouragement.
Still waiting for the council to phone >:(
I've phoned them three times and still not getting anywhere!
Good luck Becky with your lottie. When you get to see pic's of mine. You'll find I'm quite lucky. The council have recently taken the top layer off but already the weeds have started to grow again which is why I can wait to get my hands on it before the weeds are 5ft tall again!
I cant feel another phone call coming ;D
TGF :D
Here's some photos of my Allotment.
I've got to go in to the council offices on Tues morning to fill out paperwork and get my own key.
But I can start work well if someone are already there ::)

Remember if it won't grow weeds it won't grow anything... treat it as free green manure and turn it in!

Do you know that is one of the best new allotments I have ever seen. You really have a clean canvas to start on. Dig in

what a lovely looking plot. have you got your key yet ?
can't wait to see how it progresses. good luck.

Still waiting KP >:(
Waiting for a phone call to see if someone bothered to get some keys cut yesterday!!! ::)
Good news, hope the council are not too long winded otherwise those flipping weeds will grow. Hope you have many. many happy hours on your allotment.

Congratulations ! what a lovely clean sight. I have been told I should have mine within 4 - 6 weeks so am (im)patiently waiting for that CALL. Was offered one last week but it had masses of junk on it and lots of broken glass - so was told I can have the next one that comes up. So am busily sowing onion seeds etc.
Regards
Jitterbug
wooo hoooo ;D
I received the key this afternoon (At long last) ::)
So I spend about 2 hrs this afternoon, Clearing rubbish, picking up glass(still loads more), I've managed to cover about 1/3 and marked out the area for fruit plot, rhubarb plot and pumpkin patch.
Will post more pic's. I forgot the camera this afternoon!
Just need to sort out a shed and then I can keep some tools there.
Then the digging can start.
