Title: Detached Pumpkin!!!!!!!!
Post by: silly billy on August 14, 2006, 23:34:46
Had a bit of an accident today whilst turning one of our pumpkins. The stem snapped  :o :o ::)
It isnt orange yet and im wondering what to do with it.Is it only fit for the compost heap? Or would it be possible to eat a small amount of it?

If it is football sized or bigger it should ripen, that is toughen up the skin and change colour off the plant...

The same thing happened to me. I placed the pumpkin in a dry sunny place and it ripened in a couple of weeks. It has since been turned into soup. Yummy !!!
