Title: supporting flopping herbacious stuff
Post by: Hyacinth on August 14, 2006, 20:18:34
beginning of the season, put wire hanging baskets (usually to be found in skips 8)) over low-growing geraniums, penstemons, etc. Plants grow quickly through the holes & their resulting stability helps to support other stuff growing behind.

(reader's tip from n/paper)...good un I thought.

Hi all.Another cheap spport are those plastic holders you get when you buy a four pack of beer. You can tie as many as you like together and then attache them to four canes. The plants will grow through them.It is quite good fun drinking the beer as well.
