A great supper snack!
We always had them at Guide Camp, they were yummy, but not as nicely presented as yours Tim! :) Must do them for my family sometime, haven't had them in years.
Don't forget the one-sided toast - & the mayo in between?
I'll be the first to ask.........please, what is a cheese dream ?
Something a mouse has?
Dunno but that pic make me hungry just looking at it - more details Tim
Nice one, Glowy! Our way, Lishka - I notice that there is a very different one on the net:
One-sided toast (otherwise bits get double-toasted - do the pieces back-to-back in the toaster) - raw side up - cheese (Red Leicester I like, plus Cheddar or whatever)) - mayo - sliced toms - hot oven till melty - add crispy bacon. Or not!
A little chopped Shallot/Onion/Spring Onion on the cheese is nice, but you might want to cook that part a little longer before adding the rest?
Tim yours sounds much better, and more healthy. Guide camp version consisted of cheese sandwiches fried! Not at all how I eat these days... Children were amazed there were no courgettes on their plates in any form last night! :) T.
Ohh Tim making me drool, might have to have that for lunch today! ;D
Wendy - yes, that is the 'net' version - except that they are dipped in egg first!!
Will give it ago tonight when I again put off my course work and stay up late watching LOST
anyone else noticed that Tim's Millenium Garnish is doing the rounds again? ;) ;D
Fresh, Lishka!!

I'd forgotten all about cheese dreams! My mum used to make them, as fra as I remember they were basically fried cheese sandwiches! She was a guide, too!

LMAO - I know what you mean about courgetets - i have a fridge full. I told my son there was no need to check the courgettes today as they were fine yesterday - low and behold 3 more were ready... so i decided to check the sweetcorn and YAY 2 were ready so thats our lunch tomorrow.
Tim - your tea sounds yummmmmmmmmmmmm will try that one! I do notice you keep reusing those lettuce leaves... they will wilt at some point you know! Unless you dip them in something LOL
Lettuce? Lishka beat you to it.
You can even have them with Chicken (from the pot!) Rice!!
Maybe they are plastic leaves, just for show? ;)
Oh, dear - these are NOT the same leaves.
Pity the (stuffed) toms were overripe & melted!
We're not believing you Tim ;) Reckon EJ was spot-on.....notice the just-picked, shiny-from-being-washed-under-the tap look, everyone?......when there's a water shortage in his part of the world? Nah......that's the light reflecting off plastic, that is. Cheap, shiny plastic, at that. Spect that Tim, right now, is going to plant a whole row of plastic leaves :o to try to prove his point - but we can't be fooled - can we?
PS bet those toms were delicious, tho 8)
Just for the record, that's a drizzle of Virgin, not your actual precious stuff!!
